On St Patrick's Day, I posted a new card on the blog.........and it showed you how to use a regular stamp for a holiday. Change the color and the flowers looked like shamrocks! Think about the stamps you have and see how you can use them for different occasions.

FYI: New stamps have arrived from Outlines! These stamps are not even on Outlines web site yet! Check here to see the new spring stamps. These stamps say SPRING all over and they are great for coloring with your Copics or pencils. Let me know if you want any.

And according to Hero Arts, our Hero order will be shipping around March 29! It'll be here before you know it!

Special Wedding Class: In honor of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate, we will have a very special Wedding class on Saturday, April 30th! We will create some wonderful things for that special day and even have some surprises. Keep a look out for more details!

Well, it's snowing again..........hope you are safe and warm and possibly even stamping!

This snow day gave me the time to update my blog with lots of pictures and samples. Unfortunately, I was nursing my bad back last week and that has put me a bit behind schedule..........BUT, click to my blog and see where I have been working and even making a few samples for you.

Yes, thankfully the move is over.......and now we're working to get the place ready for you! Check the blog for pictures of our new place.

Today the new phone line was put in...........and the new number for the Creative Corner in Glen Spey is: 845-856-0833 It was exciting to get our first calls on the new number this afternoon!

I am really excited about setting up the new area and I am sure you will like it. We are planning a Grand Re-Opening, so keep a look out in your mailbox for details and the date!

Also, the new Hero Arts catalog is available on-line.............check it out here and let me know if you need anything. I will be ordering from them very shortly so that we may have NEW stamps and goodies for the re-opening.

Can't believe that Thanksgiving is almost here! Time is just ticking away!

But I'm happy to announce that we have launched my NEW website!!!! (Don't worry, it's the same address and all) Please, check out the new Creative Corner Website! Didn't Olga with Aglo Creations (my sister) do a spectacular job!!!!

A reminder: Tomorrow and Saturday is stamp-Arty! Come and work on your project or cards at the shop. Stuck on an idea ---- don't worry, I'll be there as well as other fellow stampers to give you ideas. Need help with a tool or product ----- I'll show you how to use it! What a great way to get your work done in a creative environment. And there is No Fee!!! Just bring your stuff and supplies and stamp away! Bring your cutting plates and you can use The Big Shot or The Wizard.>

If you would like to use some class stamps while you are at the stamp-Arty ---- then there is a $5 fee.

Hello Everyone!

Soni and I are back from our trip to Canada and boy did we see and play with lots of new toys! See the samples we made on the blog and stop by on Saturday for a Make & Take and Show & Tell. Get to see the new product up close and personal and be ready for your holiday projects now!

You can also make some Simple, yet Elegant Christmas cards on Thurs, Oct 14 or Sat, Oct 16. You'll get to use more of the new goodies that we brought back from Canada.

Hello Everyone!

First, I'd like to thank everyone who came this past Saturday for Stacy's classes and help make them a huge success!!! We had lots of laughs AND learned lots!!! As usual, Stacy did a super job and I'm working on putting together the video of the classes......will let you know when it's up on the blog.

Now that the summer is winding down, it is time to think of your holiday projects.......there are two great card samples to get you thinking about Christmas and Thanksgiving. Check them out here and here. In addition, I posted some pictures from my vacation....enjoy!

As you can see, the cutting and embossing dies really help make your cards look professional! More European dies have arrived ....... great flowers, leaves, snowflakes, etc.

I am also expecting the new Copic wallets to be in this week......they're made of really nice canvas and great for transporting your markers.

Classes: Thurs, Sept. 23 @1PM, we'll make some great cards using Stacy's new mini floral stamps! If you didn't get a chance to stop by Saturday, you can still pick them up at the shop now!

Sat, Oct 9, @11AM, Barbara will be back to show you how to make those great "Tim Holtz" Roses! Here's your chance to get artsy!!!

I will also be adding "Great Christmas pins" and "Christmas balls" classes using Outlines! I'll let you know as soon as the dates are finalized!

Hope you are enjoying these days of summer.....let's not think about the cold, yet.

Copic Class: Thurs, Sept 16 or Sat, Sept 25. We'll use the pretty Hero Arts stamp of the little girl holding flowers, and learn how to color blonde and brunette hair as well as skin tone with the Copic markers. You will need to pre-pay for this class by Saturday,August 28th, so that all the markers can be ordered in time for the class. You can see how the girls are colored on the blog, here.

Stacy's classes: Stacy Rich will be here on Sat, Sept 11 for 2 wonderful classes! In the first class you will learn how to color with those beautifully vibrant creme metallic chalks and make some gorgeous cards using Stacy's new "Blue Eyed Baby" stamps.

In the second class, Simple yet Elegant Christmas Cards, you will make several cards that will glitter and shine & that will be beautiful and still be easy to make –perfect for the crafter who waits until the last minute to make their cards! There are still a few seats available, so please call the store to reserve your seat today.

Good Morning Everyone!

I am SOOOO excited to let you know that the "What's in the Box Holiday Release from Memory Box" is here!!!! We are one of the first stores to have this!!!!

Yesterday, I went through 2 huge boxes of stamps, paper and new adhesive designs!!! What fun! (As Robert Duvall said...) "I just love the smell of new rubber in the morning!"

Check out the blog for a picture slide show of the new store display. I will also have new classes with these new stamps, starting with the first one next Thursday, July 8th at 1PM.

Thanks to Mildred who just signed up yesterday and we met the number of students for Dave!!!! Yeah!!! (There are only 2 seats available for this class, Colored pencils, given at 1:30-3:30!)

Hello Everyone!

Well, Saturday is nearly here...so pack your class kit and get ready to make some great cards and have fun with Sherry! (There is still time to join, as there are 2 seats available for each class)

Please note, Sherry does have a long trip back home, therefore, there will only be a half hour break between sessions. Please pack a bag lunch or make arrangements to have lunch ready at 12:30. The second class will start at 1PM.

Tim Holtz Roses.......they're the biggest hit right now and we are going to have a class to show you how to make them!!! The class is scheduled for Saturday, July 17, at 1:30PM. Call now to reserve your seat; the class is filling up quickly. The cutting dies to make these roses are difficult to get, but I am happy to say that several are now in stock at the shop.

Hello Everyone!

June is here and so is the great warm weather we have been waiting for!

I have been spring cleaning; organizing and re-organizing the classroom/studio area! Yes, I know it is LONG overdue....so with the help of Soni, Ginny and Ceci, we started this huge undertaking this past Monday! It seemed like this would never get done when we saw all of the STUFF all around us. But, I am happy to say, that the light at the end of this tunnel is very visible and it is on it's way to almost being done!!!!! Yeah!!!! Thank you for your patience and stop by and see the progress! There is more space for everyone and it looks so much prettier! Thank you to my helpers again.....I could not have done this without you!

Well, I need a bit of a break from all the cleaning and moving; and tomorrow is the 1st Saturday of the month..... so, come by and make a beautifully delicate gift card. (there's picture on the blog.) Next week, on Sat, June 12th, we'll have another Make & Take. We will make a card for Father's Day! I'll post it on the blog as soon as I can.

I am excited to announce that Dave Brethauer, owner and artist of Memory Box will be in Wurtsboro to teach 2 classes!!! Yes, I am honored that Dave has scheduled the Creative Corner on his summer tour.

Date: Thurs, July 22
Classes:

Memory Box Colored Pencils
Come and learn about color, blending and shading while using Memory Box images and papers. Each student will make 5 cards using colored pencil techniques that will make you color like a pro. We'll put color to work in analogous and complementary colors schemes to really make your greeting cards stand out!

Memory Box Watercolor
This fun class teaches watercolor through watercolor paints and watercolor pencils. Learn the advantages of each watercolor media and get some helpful tips for applying watercolor to greeting cards. Try out different types of watercolor paper while learning washes and blending techniques. Each student will create 5 cards in an informative and supportive teaching style.

You will be using the new Christmas and fall release stamps!

Time: 4-6PM, 6:30-8:30PM
Fee: $40 per class

Hello Everyone,

Hope all is well and you're enjoying spring!

Spring means that I was on the road again! Between the Copics certification course and the Spring Show in Boston, it has been a lot of miles. Thanks to Soni and Barbara, we got in many classes, made lots of samples for the store and saw lots of new and inspiring stamps and designs! We are so excited to share them with you!

New stuff is arriving almost everyday! Here's what has arrived so far:

Hope everyone survived the bad rain and wind storm. And now, we can look forward to the beautiful, unusually warm, pre-spring weather!

Here's the latest:

And just in time for Easter, the mini, clear pails came in! You can easily decorate them with stamped images, peel offs, or flower stickers and fill them with your favorite Easter candy. They make such precious gifts for your special someone.

In addition, more new stamps from Stampendous have arrived.

Hello Everyone!

Hope you survived the snowstorm(s) and now looking forward to SPRING!!! Let's chase that snow away...... spring theme classes are on the calendar now.

You can make some pretty spring cards on Thurs, March 18. The Butterfly classes are very popular. Or take the next Copic markers class on April 1st. I will be Copic Certified at the end of this month and look forward to share more techniques and information with you! Check out the calendar here.

Spring stamps have arrived from Memory Box, Hero and Outlines! They are like a breath of fresh air! Check them out before they are gone.

Also, the Color of the Month from Memory Box should arrive any day now! This will be a limited edition of specialty card colors and stamps to go with them. (And we all love Dave's papers and designs!)

I hope you'll check out the Blog for the latest pictures. We had a blast at the Summer Stamp Party. Now I am planning the Recipe Exchange/Stamp, where we will make & decorate recipe cards (similar to the ones from the Summer Stamp Party), try new foods and have a bunch of new recipes to take home. This will probably take place sometime in April or May.

And last but not least, Saturday will be Make and Take Day.....here too, we'll make a really pretty card for spring! Hope you'll come!

Hope all is well and you survived the yesterday's snowstorm. Perfect day to get things done.

First, due to the overwhelming popularity of last week's Valentine Make & Take, we are doing it again this Saturday. So, if you missed it, here's your chance and it's just in time for V Day!

I've added a Butterflies class. Due to the demand, 2 such classes are scheduled, March 4th and March 13th. Bring your Copic markers and make a set of beautiful cards with butterflies.....very quick and easy. And then we'll make a holder for the cards. Perfect for a gift or to keep on your own desk. ***If you don't have Copics, bring colored pencils, or different markers....you can still make these great cards! See lots of pictures on the blog!

The Lucky Clover Pin & Card Class will be offered on Feb 27 and March 11. Come and make a gorgeous clover pin with real Swarovski crystals! And a card to go with it. The Lucky Clover Jewel-it Kit is included in the fee, so you will be able to make more pins and cards at home!

Hi Everyone,

I've scheduled the next Copic Markers class for Thurs, Jan 28 at 1PM and a repeat on Sat, Jan 30th at 11AM. This will again include 8 new colors, with Valentine's Day as the inspiration.

If you are interested, please contact the shop and you will need to prepay for the class ($65 plus tax) by Mon, Jan 19.

In addition, if more seats are needed for this class, I will schedule additional classes in the beginning of February.

And I'm happy to inform you that I uploaded a new demo on my blog......so I hope you'll get the chance to check it out!
