Hello! My name is Virginia "Ginny" Behrens. I grew up in the small town of Liberty, New York, about 100 miles from the big city in what is known as the borscht belt. Home of the famous Grossinger Hotel where I spent many an hour with my dad, who in the early years designed background sets for the nightly shows.

Born with a talent to draw you might say I got it from my father but my mother had the talent too. It was many years later that I decided to study graphic art design at the local community college. I then went on to working for newspapers designing ads and freelanced designing logos and more. My love of crafting began years before with sewing and ceramics.

One day while watching TV, I discovered Carol Duvall the craft queen. Her guest was a stamping demonstrator. It looked very interesting and I decided to find out more about this stamping thing. Needless to say I got hooked!

I love to create my own backgrounds on the computer making plaids, stripes, multicolor squares and more. When designing my cards I found it hard to locate pretty lettering or the right phrase. As a lover of working with type I started to design my own sayings and headings. Dreams are desires of the heart that keep you living. My dream is to produce my own line of stamps with my sayings. I hope to live my dream.

I love stamping and it is a thrill to create something and have it published. But my true joy and peace of the heart is in Jesus Christ. He alone gives me all I need.

Hi!  Welcome to Anna’s Creative Corner. My name is Sonia Larson but I’m much better known as Soni (pronounced, sunny). I’ve have been crafting since my mother handed me my first embroidery needle and crochet hook. Moving away from the small town of Liberty to attend college and then teach in Buffalo, I found a world of crafting opportunities and poured my creative juices into ceramics, flower arranging, macramé, crewel, string art and decoupage. In 1975 I moved back home to marry Al, also a teacher and administrator.  With the addition of 2 active boys, more teaching and care of parents,  those creative passions were put to rest.  When my husband decided to retire, I told him he couldn’t throw in the towel until he had something else to do. It didn’t take him long! Didn’t he turn the tables on me when I decide to retire? Since I was an avid photographer, I promised him that  now I would have time to turn all our family photos into scrapbook albums. Then I went to a stamping party. Oh, this looked neat! Maybe I’ll just make 20 handmade Christmas cards. While I was working diligently on my project I heard about this new craft store in Wurtsboro. The rest is history! You can find me just about any Thursday at the Creative Corner learning new techniques or “just playing”! I love to vary my color choices and use all kinds of mediums, but you’ll see by the samples in Anna’s store that I’m addicted to embroidered cards. … Isn’t that where it all began?

My name is Cecilia Prange.  I  was  born in Colombia, South America and have been in this country for 28 years now.  I have been a resident of the Village of  Wurtsboro  with  my husband of 25 years (this coming August) and have a terrific 20 year old son.

I  grew up in a family very inclined to arts and crafts, and therefore it has been part of my every day life.  My dad was a violinist and my mom is a very resourceful, artistic and crafty stay at home mom.

I have been a stamper for about  3 years with the help and instruction of Anna Seniw.  I love the creativity and challenges it brings out.  It's also a very good way to end my long days working at the day care my aunt owns.

When I'm not stamping in my own home, I can be found at work, or at  home teaching piano, ( which  I've done for  many years) or at Anna's ( my home away from home ) .

Just a little note about myself.  I am a wife, mother, stepmother & grandmother of two granddaughters. Just call me the Craft Queen! I love to do anything craft-related from crocheting to baking anything that's fattening.  And I ESPECIALLY love to rubber stamp. I began stamping over ten years ago with my friend Karan. I had no one to show me the ins and outs of stamping, so it all went in a closet.

Several years ago I joined the Curves in Wurtsboro and shortly after was employed by them, where I met a lot of new people!  Guess what. One of the Curves members sold Stampin Up! That is when I met Pam, (also a stamping nut)!  Pam soon became my stamping buddy and helped me along the way.  My love of stamping took me to the Creative Corner where Anna introduced me to Outlines stamps, which became my all time favorite. Who knew then that my love of stamps and paper would turn into a life long hobby? Any new stamp product is never out of my reach. I will go to any length to get what I need - now that's dedication or should I say... ADDICTION!

Hello, my name is Anna Seniw.  I've been crafting for as long as I can remember!  I grew up coloring for hours with my "Venus" colored pencils, and later moved on to embroidery, counted cross stitch, crewel, etc.  After my daughter, Maria was born, I found rubber stamps and I thought it  would be something that we could do together.  We got some sets and tried them out.  Unfortunately, when we colored in the artwork, the ink bled into the work.  We got discouraged and we put them away.

Then a fully stocked but not so personal craft store opened in Middletown. They demonstrated the heat embossing technique to me and I was hooked.  That year, Maria and I made Thanksgiving Day cards and place cards for our dinner table.  We had a lot of fun and continued making cards for family members.

Next, came the INTERNET!  I had an endless source of techniques and supplies at my fingertips.  That is when I really took off in this hobby!  I just LOVED it.  I couldn't wait to come home from work to make cards and try out what I've learned!

Life changed for me and I decided to "do something" with my craft.  I opened The Creative Corner in July, 2004.  I love to stamp and create AND I love to teach;  therefore this is just perfect.  I hold educational workshops that are fun, relaxing, everyone socializes and leaves with a completed project. Customers have told me that they love to come and have this time for themselves; to get away from the everyday stresses and create with others who are also passionate about this craft.  A wonderful bonus came when I've met the most wonderful people through this venture!
